The ESO6 Cartridge, designed for speciality coffee, espresso and ice tea applications, uses three stage blending (unique to this filter) to provide softened, buffered and filtered water.
 
This filter utilises ion exchange resin with buffering capabilities, to prevent water from becoming too acidic, as well as high capacity coconut carbon filtration.
 
A small amount of carbon filtered water is allowed to bypass the softening resin to allow proper initial hardness but the filter still reduces the overall hardness of water that can potentially cause minerals to build up in coffee / espresso making equipment.
 
Minerals such as calcium and magnesium are reduced, as is chlorine taste and odour.
